Dispatch reminder #1

Dispatchers... You have a very important job in your company. You are in daily contact with all the drivers and customers, you know what jobs are on your screen, you know where the drivers are. In other words... you have the information. Make sure you do not withhold that information.

When you have a package that is going to be late, CALL THE CUSTOMER!!! Do not wait for them to call you. Give them a REAL estimate on when the package will be delivered. Do not lie about the time. If it is going to be 30 minutes late, tell them it will be 30 minutes late. Do not tell them it will be 10 minutes.
